Customer Background
Singapore Science Park is one of the largest tech innovation hubs in Southeast Asia, hosting hundreds of technology companies, R&D labs, and top-tier talent. It demands significantly higher standards for space operations efficiency, crowd flow management accuracy, and real-time data-driven decision-making than typical commercial environments.

Challenges
- The park's existing surveillance system uses multiple brands; replacing all hardware is unacceptable due to high costs and downtime risks.
- Operators need more than just entry and exit counts; they require multi-dimensional metrics including time-slot distribution, area heatmaps, and traffic flow efficiency.
- Overseas delivery involves network conditions, data compliance, time zone coordination, and localized support; these must be addressed during the planning phase.
Implementation Plan
The platform unifies access to existing crowd flow devices in industrial parks via HTTP APIs, enabling direct integration with mainstream brands such as Hikvision, Dahua, Uniview, and Huawei without requiring additional investment. Data transmission uses encrypted HTTPS channels with API Key authentication, outputting anonymized feature vectors and count results while storing no personally identifiable facial images, ensuring compliance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Deployment is offered via a SaaS model with annual subscriptions per park.

Tangible Results
- Precise foot traffic analytics across all entrances, public areas, and key buildings. Data is captured at minute-level granularity, enabling time-period comparisons and trend analysis.
- Data intelligence analysis combined with store visit rate, conversion rate, and dwell time allows operations staff to generate instant reports using natural language queries—no SQL required.
- Scenario-based operations monitoring automatically triggers alerts when regional foot traffic exceeds preset thresholds, linking to broadcast systems or diversion plans to shift from reactive response to proactive intervention.
- The visual data dashboard supports access across web, mobile app, and mini-program platforms with real-time data updates in seconds.

Future Roadmap
Proven device adaptation experience, multi-language interface solutions, and compliance frameworks accumulated in this project can be directly reused for future regional expansion. The platform will continue investing in data model accuracy, alert response speed, and multi-language support to extend our overseas service capabilities from Singapore to core campus markets in Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia within 2026 years.
